About us
With more than twenty years of scuba diving experience, including fifteen years in Cancun, Scuba Fred's is your perfect choice for professional, experienced instructors and guides. Scuba Fred's is owned and operated by divers who understand what divers need and want, letting us provide you, the client, with the safe, exciting adventure you desire.
Our staff is multilingual, teaching both in Spanish and English, with German and Dutch classes also available. Scuba diving certifications are issued in both PADI and NAUI, along with Universal Dive Referrals services. Whatever your certification agency, we're both trained and prepared to deliver the training and service you're looking for. If you're already certified and looking for a new experience, our scuba diving and snorkeling trips are sure to please.

Scuba Fred's operates out of The Clipper Club, located at Blvd. Kukulcan Km 8.5, right in the hotel zone of Cancun. We're directly across from the Convention Center, behind Plaza la Fiesta. Before you go, print out a map.

My wife and I went scuba diving for the first time while in Cancun. This was the best decision we made all week! The training at the hotel was great...and we received lots of attention while on our dive. Our guide...made sure we were ok every step of the way and made us incredibly comfortable, that if something went wrong he would be there to help. He was awesome at showing us the sites, fish, etc. Don't go with the larger companies as you are just one of many when you can have dedicated focus from someone that is incredibly passionate about diving. Two thumbs up!

I have been diving with Scuba Fred's for four years and I have never had any problems. The crew is very hands on and very friendly. They make sure that you are comfortable with everything before they take you into the ocean and they are always willing to accomodate your schedule. I just recently got back from Cancun and I took my Padi certification with them and it was fantastic. They make sure you understand what you are learning before you learn something else. It is also great for divers who have little or no experience. They really do take care of you. I will definitely be back!

This is a divers shop, two trips out each day, no nonsense diving and plenty of it to offer. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer drift diving, wreck diving and Cenote diving from this shop...
